  • Why Buy a Kit?

Or as I prefer, a “Workshop in a Box.”

Kits are a great time-saver, and when you’re trying to find any time to create, a kit is a great way to learn a new skill, try something out to see how you like it, or get yourself up to speed and ready to go without having to run around hunting down all the supplies–like you have time for that!

  • Will it Work?

Don’t you hate when you buy a kit because the picture looked great, but then you read the instructions and you have no idea what the h*&% they’re talking about? Or some of the pieces are missing? Or your final product simply doesn’t look like the picture in the magazine, or the outside of the box?

Me too.

All my kits have been tried and tested and also have their own how-to video, so you can see what’s involved in making the kit BEFORE buying–what a relief.

Of course, being able to watch a video also means you don’t have to read any instructions. Woo-hoo!

(But I’ve still supplied written instructions, just in case you’d like to refresh your memory after watching the video.)

I’ve spent hours creating my videos so that they’re super clear, and I spent years making a living designing great-looking art and craft projects for people who never make anything at all, let alone someone like you who actually knows what she’s doing.

Since I’m constantly learning new techniques myself, buying kits, reading how-to’s and watching videos, I know what frustrates me as a learner (such as; no closeups, skipping steps, not giving you all the supplies you need, not talking about what might go wrong, etc.)

I make sure I don’t repeat those mistakes with my own kits.

  • What if it Doesn’t Work?

You get a full money back guarantee. No problem.

I really believe in these kits, their instructions, and the video. But if you’re having trouble, just email me and I’ll come to the rescue. And if that doesn’t work, we can talk on the phone. And if that doesn’t work, just send it back and I’ll return all your money. No problem. The last thing I want is for someone to buy something from me and then be disappointed.

The whole reason I’ve made this website and blog is to empower you to make things, to feel happy creating again, to free you up to try new things, to help you carve out some time for yourself. That makes me happy. The last thing I want is for you to be bummed out. That doesn’t help either of us. So that’s why I have a money back guarantee. I want this site to be a safe place to learn about making, exploring new techniques, and buying things that help you make things again.

So if you send it back because it didn’t work out for you, I’ll be relieved, really, because I’d hate for you to rue the day you bought something here.

But I don’t think you will, because I think your kit will be a fabulous success, and it will spur you on to more making and doing, and how great is that?

  • Do You Have any Testimonials from People Who’ve made a Kit?

Yes, you can read them here.

  • Why does it say Jackson Street Studios on the last Shopping Cart page?

Because that’s the name of my company! Make Great Stuff is the name of this site, but Jackson Street Studios is the name of my company, because I do lots of design-y and teaching type things in addition to running this website.

Ready to learn more? Let’s take a look at those kits again! Yay!
